Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin, who quit as the Penang deputy chief minister 1 last week, resigned his Penanti state seat to force a by-election that could decide his replacement. According to him, this decision is made in the interest of PKR and would also allow him to continue his postgraduate studies and spend time with his family. He also added that he would now focus on clearing his name from allegations hurled against him.
p/s: Never seen too many by-election in a short period of time. Hope we can cut down on politicking and concentrate on building the nation. ONE MALAYSIA!
